Welcome To My Travel Blog! I’m MJ.
Hi! I’m MJ from Wolverhampton in England, United Kingdom and I’m a travel blogger!
Back in 2013 I decided to quit my boring day job and travel the world solo for nine months.
Ever since then I’ve continued my travels whenever possible and so far I’ve visited 40 countries, mostly as a solo traveller!
Countries I’ve Visited/Lived
My expertise lies in the UK and European countries. As a native British citizen I grew up living in Wolverhampton, I’ve spent several years living in Brighton and have travelled the country extensively, including places like Birmingham, London, the Lake District and Blackpool.
I’ve spent a lot of time travelling around Europe as well, especially Spain. In 2013 I spent five weeks walking the Camino de Santiago. I lived in Seville for two months in 2015 and in 2016 I worked as an English teacher in Madrid for eight months.
I also love travelling to far away exotic countries and experiencing new cultures. Some of my favourite far flung destinations include: Morocco, Egypt, Japan and South Korea.

Why I Became A Travel Blogger
Having travelled non stop for several months at a time over several years, returning to a regular 9 to 5 job just wasn’t a option for me any longer.
I decided to become a travel blogger in 2022 with the intention of sharing my expertise and travelling the world full time!
I love the freedom and excitement of travelling and I wanted to turn that into a successful business that can fund for my travel dreams.
I aim to give expert, up to date and in depth advice on the places I visit and build connections with fellow travellers out there.
Being a solo traveller can be daunting and a lonely place at times. I want to change that and provide information to fellow solo travellers and regular travellers out there.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit more and I look forward to connecting with you in the future!
Feel free to connect with me on social media, you can follow me on instagram or twitter and I’ll gladly give you a follow back!
Cheers,
Mark
