Read on for the Best 10-Day Itinerary For Morocco!

Morocco is one of the most amazing and memorable countries I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting, and having a perfect itinerary for a 10-day trip is essential to get the most out of your experience there.

From climbing the Atlas Mountains to relaxing on the beach in Agadir, it’s an incredibly diverse country full of history, culture and awesome people.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Morocco several times, and I know how important it is to have a thorough itinerary to visit the best locations.

That’s why I’ve created this precise 10-day itinerary, starting in Tangier in the north and ending in Agadir in the south.

In this post, I’ll cover the best things to do in each destination, as well as where to stay and eat in what I believe to be the best country to visit in Northern Africa.

The Perfect 10-Day Itinerary For Morocco

So, without further ado, let’s dive into my detailed 10 Day itinerary for Morocco, including hotel and food recommendations for each destination and so much more.

Because the best places to visit in Morocco are located far apart from each other, expect plenty of travelling throughout your trip. Therefore, I recommend adding extra travel days between each destination.

Days 1 & 2 In Morocco: Tangier

Located on the Strait of Gibraltar, Tangier is a lively, bustling city, making it a perfect introduction to Moroccan culture and way of life.

I recommend spending at least one full day in Tangier. You will most likely need two days, depending on your arrival time to this fascinating port city.

How To Get To Tangier

✈️ By Plane: Tangier has an international airport, which is less than a 30-minute drive from the city centre. If you’re flying from the UK, there are direct flights to Tangier from Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

⛴️ By Ferry: An interesting way to reach Tangier is to catch a ferry from the Spanish coastal city of Tarifa. There are up to 10 ferry crossings between the two continents each day.

The ferry takes around 1 hour, with tickets costing less than £30. I’ve caught the ferry to Tangier a couple of times, and it’s a really cool way to travel from Europe easily and affordably.

✅ I recommend Bookaway to find the best prices and times for public transportation in Morocco.

Things To Do In Tangier

  • Tangier Medina – the city’s historic walled centre is like being transported into ancient times. Wandering through the labyrinth-like narrow streets is a fascinating experience.

  • Grand Socco – this is Tangier’s bustling historic square and is considered the centre of the city. A vibrant place that is very much a mix of the old and the new.

  • Tangier Kasbah – A historic fortress that is also the highest point in the city. From here you can enjoy stunning views of the city and the coast.

Where To Stay In Tangier: Riad Tingis

For a pleasant stay in Tangier, I recommend Riad Tingis. This is a beautiful 3-star hotel located just a few minutes walk from the Old Medina and Grand Socco.

It features an inner courtyard that has gorgeous décor and a terrace with
outstanding views of the city. Family rooms are available, and all rooms have air-conditioning.

Where To Eat In Tangier

  • L’olivier Restaurant – Expect an elegant dining experience at this restaurant, which serves modern and traditional Moroccan dishes in a beautiful interior setting.

  • Restaurant Kebdani – Offers authentic Moroccan cuisine at an affordable price.

  • Restaurant Al Maimouni – This restaurant has excellent service, generous portions and terrace views overlooking the coast.
